It is a challenging (from a design point of view) waste of space. The client wanted to use it as a quiet end of the garden, a secluded sitting area. But she also wanted to keep the shed. How do we hide a shed that big, see below…

Above, a beautiful patio garden, part of an extensive project a lot more below on this garden below.
And immediately below , this was just a rough, high-maintenance lawn and a small patio. The clients who originated from Cyprus wanted the feel of a Mediterranean garden, hence the mature olive tree! And the stone walls/raised beds…which we built in the style of the farm walls in Cyprus
Before and after
Chippenham, massive (but still with character) courtyard patio, paved with black Brazilian slate with raised formal water feature, clad with porcelain and subtle fountains. As with everything we do, all designed and built in house. One designer one team simple!
(And yes really, and you would never know when you were relaxing in it)
ON THE EDGE OF A CITYwith a housing estate behind it…for a Nature and Wildlife loving family,
planted with mature and semi-mature plants for instant effect!
As you can see, we just love bringing the feel of the Countryside and wildlife into the Town.
And on a lower level, we created a Wildlife Pond, and here (next) you can see more of the
soft landscaping amidst the hard bits!
THIS WAS TWO YEAR PROJECT…as the clients bought next door,
demolished it (as you do) and extended INTO it!
Which of course gave us another garden to come back to, to develop
WE ALSO TERRACED THE WHOLE GARDEN…and we are specialists
in the art of “Garden Engineering”, see more in PORTFOLIO #1,
which basically
means cutting into and retaining to create new more usable levels.

Laid slate paving, planted pleached Limes for privacy, and then planted the whole bed with shade-loving plants for all year colour and interest
